Technical Coordinator - Performing Arts Center

The Technical Coordinator is responsible for management of technical operations of  the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, a 500+ seat theater, with studio theater and event space.  The position oversees part time technical staff and operation of technical systems such as stage lighting and sound systems.  In the absence of the PAC Manager oversees full-time maintenance worker positions as well as part time box office and house staff employees.  Contributes to the development of the budget for the facility.  Duties will include:

• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for use and operation of the technical aspects of the Performing Arts Center, including stage lighting, sound systems, curtain systems and video
• Operating stage lighting, sound systems and other technical aspects of the facility during use by user groups without adequate technical capabilities or training
• Maintaining and repairing all technical systems, including stage lighting, sound, video and curtain systems.

• Maintaining a safe environment and ensuring that all users follow established industry standards for operations.  Ensures all user groups can safely operate theater technical systems.

• Maintaining regular records, compiles information on usage and conditions, participation levels and other reports as required.
