Swim Lesson Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Swimming Lesson Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the swim instructor staff and assisting with the overall operation of the Swimming Lesson Program. The Swim Lesson Coordinator will ensure that all safety and teaching guidelines are followed and will conduct regular evaluations of the swim instructor staff. This position will also be available during swimming lessons to answer questions from participants of the program.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be physically able to teach lessons to participants of all ages.

Must be able to prepare course curriculum that is appropriate for designated class.

Minimum of 1-year swim lesson experience.

Capable of positive, effective, calm and professional communication verbally and written with staff, members, children and parents tailoring the communication style to the appropriate audience.

Supervise staff and be present during all group lessons.

The ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, and ages.

Ability to multi-task and be well organized.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned, in all weather conditions. Must have the ability to use independent judgement when needed.

Must be able to withstand frequent standing, walking, and sitting during the day.

CPR/AED and First-Aid certified Preferred.

High School Diploma preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is primarily done in an outdoor pool setting.
