Recreation Program Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Develops, organizes, markets, develops budgets and supervises a wide variety of recreation programs and special events, particularly programs designed for children, senior citizens, and fitness programs. Coordinates information and publication of department's program guide. Coordinates the Park Legacy program.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum of three years full-time recreation programming experience preferred
- Considerable knowledge of recreation programs and trends
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Experience with desktop publishing programs and concepts
- Two years supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelors Degree in parks and recreation, leisure studies or related field, or equivalent experience in the parks and recreation field involving recreation programming. Bachelors Degree from NRPA accredited program or CPRP certification preferred
