Recreation Program Manager - Atheltics

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, organizes, markets and supervises a wide variety of recreation programs and special events, with emphasis on athletic programs designed for children and senior citizens.
  • Coordinate activities and operations at the Kirkwood Park Racquet Sports Center.
  • Hire, instruct and schedule league officials, instructors and other part-time staff.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of outdoor athletic facilities; develop policies and fee structures for use of athletic facilities, contact users and provide information on reservation processes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation, Leisure Studies or a related field.
  • Degree from NRPA accredited program or CPRP certification preferred, with a minimum of three years of experience in the field of parks and recreation preferred.
  • Three years of experience in full-time recreation programming.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends and be available on call for emergencies.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Both indoor office environment and outdoors working environment
