Performing Arts Center Technical Assistant, Part-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for general supervision of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) Lighting, Audio, Video, and Rigging Systems. Primarily evening and weekend work. Makes minor repairs to facilities and equipment. Provides directions and information to users of the facility. Ensures security of facility, equipment, and users. Under direct supervision of PAC Technical Coordinator. This position will not oversee or direct other employees. The Employee is expected to work with other part time custodial or maintenance staff or community service workers to accomplish PAC objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a Valid Driver's License.
• Possess the strength and dexterity to operate equipment and tools.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and crawl as needed to adequately perform cleaning and maintenance of facilities.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Primary working shifts are between the hours of 5pm-12am, Wednesday thru Sunday. Work is primarily done in an indoor facility setting, however responsibilities will require work in the outdoors and other environments. Some exposure to inclement weather (dust, ice, snow, heat and rain) and noise.
