Information Technology Analyst

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Support of the AS/400 and all applications tied to it. Assists in the training of end-users on the use of the AS/400 software. Maintains security for the applications and access to the system. Assist end-users with questions about computer applications, phones, voice mail and email. Develops applications for end-users on an as needed basis.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

1. Extensive knowledge of AS/400 operations.
2. Extensive knowledge of Client Access/iSeries Navigator, ODBC connectivity.
3. Extensive knowledge of HTE Public Administration
4. Extensive knowledge of HTE Server applications (C2G, Naviline, DMS, QREP)
5. Knowledge of MS Windows Servers and Active directory.
6. Extensive knowledge of MS Office products.
7. Follow oral and written instructions; deal effectively and courteously with associates, vendors, and the public.
8. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing; read and understand written information.
9. Perform basic mathematical calculations.
10. Extensive knowledge of database designs and methodologies.
11. Enter data and operate complex computer programs
12. Exercise initiative and judgement in planning and organizing own work, complete assignments and handle routine work problems.
13. Perform a multitude of tasks at same time with numerous disruptions.

MINUMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Three years of AS/400 experience.
2. Three years related experience in a municipal or governmental environment.
3. One year advanced experience in MS Office or formal training.
4. Three years Windows Server and Active Directory experience.
5. Two year degree in computer related field.
