What you will be doing:

• General cleaning and maintenance of the Community Center and surrounding facilities and grounds.
• Makes needed repairs to facilities and equipment.
• Sweeps, strips, waxes, buffs, mops, and vacuums floors in the Community Center and theater.
• Washes all windows and glass in the Community Center and theater.
• Cleans and services restrooms, including mopping floors, sanitizing toilet facilities, and cleaning mirrors, sinks, and counters.
• Sets up tables and chairs for use of meeting rooms; opens meeting rooms for groups with reservations; ensures rooms are secure after meetings.
• Sets up gymnasium equipment, including volleyball nets, basketball equipment, and sound equipment.
• Ensures security of building by touring the facility and ensuring that areas are secured when not in use.
• Provides information to users of the community center.
• Empties trash cans.

When we need you:

Wednesday to Friday 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday:

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

• To be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform physical labor in a variety of climatic conditions.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb and crawl as needed to adequately perform cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
• To possess a valid Missouri Driver's License.

Our Working Environment:

Both indoor office environment and outdoors working environment. Outdoor working environment includes exposure to a variety of extreme weather conditions and subject to unleveled and uneven working surfaces (construction sites). Exposure to health hazards associated with construction activities, i.e., asbestos, dust, fumes, extreme noise, and odors.
